Playing as a centre-back for Hartlepool’s under-19 side, Murphy has impressed many scouts sent to watch him.

The defender is set for talks with the struggling Premier League side, however no deal is certain yet with other clubs also looking into a potential switch.

West Ham could make a late swoop for Murphy, but with the likes of Manchester United and Spurs interested in the youngster, it could be a tough battle to secure his signature.
