Tottenham have no plans to sign Andy Carroll from West Ham
Despite suggestions in various media outlets claiming otherwise, Tottenham Hotspur have got no interest in signing West Ham United striker Andy Carroll this month, according to a report from Sky Sports.
Harry Kane’s ankle injury, combined with Heung-Min Son being away on international duty at the Asian Cup with South Korea, means that the often unfancied duo of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen are Tottenham’s only senior strikers available to play.
Llorente started during the 2-1 win over Fulham, but he didn’t exactly cover himself in glory by scoring an own goal.
despite their shortage of quality forward options, Spurs seemingly have no interest in signing Carroll.
The England international is out of contract in the summer and could leave West Ham this month for a reduced fee if any parties are interested in taking him.
However, serious question marks about the ability to stay healthy and injury-free sill hang over Carroll and as such, it could be difficult to find a buyer for him during the January transfer window.
