West Ham United are said to be in the running to sign Harold Moukoudi from Le Havre.
It is reported by French news outlet L’Equipe that the Hammers have entered the running to sign the defender as his future with the Ligue 2 club continues to come under scrutiny.
The centre-back sees his contract with Le Havre expire at the end of the season but has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, with talks currently at an impasse.
This has prompted interest from a host of clubs from across Europe, according to L’Equipe, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side among those considering moves for Moukoudi.
West Ham are currently short of options in the central defensive areas with Winston Reid and Fabian Balbuena nursing injuries, leaving Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna as the only recognised options.
If the Hammers are to land the 21-year-old, though, they will face stiff competition. Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla are noted as two interested parties.
