Fiorentina agree deal to sign Obiang

West Ham have agreed to sell midfielder Pedro Obiang to Fiorentina this month, for a fee in the region of €11m.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina and West Ham have come to an agreement.

Fiorentina have agreed to pay an initial €10m for Obiang, with the potential for a further €1m in add-ons.

Obiang was heavily linked with a move to Sampdoria last summer, but stayed at West Ham and has made 14 Premier League appearances for the club this season.

The Spaniard has started nine league games, along with four starts in the League Cup and FA Cup throughout the campaign so far.

However, Pellegrino has seemingly sanctioned an exit for Obiang, with reports claiming that Jonjo Shelvey is a target to replace him.
