Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia has emerged as a January target for West Ham United, according to a report from Calciomercato.
It is believed that the Hammers are in the race to sign the centre-back, who has not yet made a single appearance in Serie A for Luciano Spalletti’s side this season.
The 30-year-old has been utilised only as a backup option for the Italian giants, who have seen a number of their players linked with exits from San Siro this month.

Ranocchia has previously played in the top-flight of English football following a brief spell on loan at Hull City during the 2016/17 campaign.
Inter duo Gabriel Barbosa and Antonio Candreva have both recently been touted as potential transfer targets for the Hammers, but it seems they have also turned their attention towards strengthening their defensive options.
Fabian Balbuena has been nursing an injury at West Ham in recent weeks, leaving Manuel Pellegrini with few centre-backs to call on.
