West Ham have had a £6.5m offer turned down by Besiktas for midfielder Gary Medel.
According to TalkSport, via The BBC, West Ham have made their opening offer for the holding midfield, which has been rejected.
The report claims that Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is a big fan of Medel and wants to add him to his midfield options.

Medel has Premier League experience, having played 34 games for Cardiff in the 2013/14 season.
Despite Cardiff’s relegation, Medel impressed that year and earned himself a move to Inter Milan in Italy.
After making over 100 appearances for Inter, Medel joined Besiktas in 2017 and has been a key figure in their squad ever since.
Reports earlier this week claimed that Medel is keen on a move to West Ham as he looks for a switch to the Premier League.
The report does not claim how much Besiktas are looking for.
