West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini believes Marko Arnautovic will return to full first-team training next week.
As quoted by talkSPORT, the Chilean delivered an update on the condition of his squad as they gear up to take on Watford at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Pellegrini had news about the Austrian international’s recovery from a hamstring problem that has kept him out of action since the Hammers’ win against Cardiff towards the beginning of December. He said:
We will need to see his last examination, but I think that next week he will start working with the team.
Arnautovic has been an important player for West Ham this season and has led the line in fine fashion since Pellegrini’s appointment in the summer.
The 29-year-old has found the net on five occasions so far this term and has also contributed with two assists.
West Ham have been in impressive form of late and will be keen to come away from their upcoming clash against the Hornets with a fifth consecutive top-flight victory.
