West Ham are hoping to take young Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira on loan next month, TEAMtalk report.
The Brazilian, who turns 23 on New Year’s Day, has featured on six occasions under Jose Mourinho this season, starting in United’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Valencia on Wednesday.
Pereira is regarded as a future star at Old Trafford, however, the Belgian-born midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
The Red Devils are thought to take up a clause in Pereira’s current deal however, meaning they can extend his stay in Manchester.
If United do in fact extend Pereira’s contract, it is more than likely that the creative midfielder, who has previously enjoyed loan spells in Spain with Granada and Valencia, will again be allowed to leave on loan for the rest of the season.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been monitoring the youngster’s situation, however, with the Brazilian seeking regular game time, Manuel Pellegrini is reported to be keen on bringing Pereira to the London Stadium next month.
