West Ham could face competition from Southampton in their reported interest in signing Emiliano Sala from FC Nantes.
A whole host of Premier League sides have already been linked with moves for the 28-year-old, who has been a standout performer in the top-flight of French football this season.
Sala has found the net on 12 occasions in Ligue 1 and according to claims from France Football, the Saints have been tracking his progress.
It is reported that Cardiff City are hottest on the trail of the Argentine forward as Neil Warnock looks to add more firepower to his team’s push for survival this season.
Nevertheless, the Hammers have reportedly been keeping a close eye on Sala as he continues to score goals on a regular basis in France.
The likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace have also been cited with interest in the striker.
France Football’s report indicates that offers in excess of €15 million could be submitted by clubs from the Premier League as the January transfer window edges closer.
