Arnautovic ruled out for a month
West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic is due to be sidelined for a month, it has been confirmed.
Sky Sports News report that the player is set for a spell on the sidelines following a hamstring injury.
There were already fears surrounding the player, who himself had conceded he would be ‘out for a while’, but West Ham’s fears have now become a reality.
Arnautovic has been struggling with injuries for some time and they now appear to have got the better of him.
The Austrian was unable to see out the game against Manchester City recently and he was also taken off against Cardiff.
Manuel Pellegrini is likely to call upon Javier Hernandez to continue leading the line for the Hammers in Arnautovic’s absence.
The Mexican striker scored twice on his return to the side against Newcastle and will be hoping to take that form into games in the near future.
