According to an exclusive report from All Nigeria Soccer, promising striker Ayomide Faniyan is training with West Ham United ahead of a potential permanent switch to the club.
It’s claimed that the 18-year-old forward will spend an eight-week trial period with the Premier League club as he looks to convince the Hammers’ coaching staff of his qualities.
Faniyan was last on the books of Championship club Reading. However, after failing to agree a new deal at the club, a mutual agreement was reached for the youngster to depart towards the end of September.
The forward was held in high esteem at the Madjeski Stadium and it seems West Ham have been left intrigued by the possibility of adding him to the club’s youth ranks.
The Nigerian-born prospect played a part in the Royals’ Under-23 setup and caught the eye on numerous occasions, with Faniyan now seemingly being courted by clubs from the Premier League.
West Ham will hope that the striker can do enough to convince them that he will be a valuable addition to their academy.
