Inter could loan Barbosa to bump up his asking price

Inter could take the decision to loan out Gabriel Barbosa to a European side for the second half of the season rather than selling him permanently.

Reports in Italy have suggested that the San Siro outfit could move the player on in January in an attempt to conjure up more summer interest.

West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace have all been linked with the Brazilian striker following a decent run of form in his native country playing for Santos.

Gabigol, as he is also known, is now set to return to the Italian side ahead of the end of his loan deal.

Inter have been looking to move the player on after he failed to impress during his short stint in Serie A.

However, the report claims that they are desperate to make up for the money spent on bringing the striker to the San Siro in the first place.

After a fine start to the season with Santos, a European loan move could bump up his price even further if he can replicate that success on these shores.
