Yarmolenko hobbled off injured during West Ham’s loss to Tottenham at the weekend, clutching his ankle after going down off the ball.
The report claims that he will now have surgery on his ankle and is expected to be out of action for around six months, and could even miss the rest of the season.
The winger joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for a deal thought to be worth in the region of £22m.
He has had a fine start to life in the Premier League, with three goals – four in all competitions – and has now been suffered a devasting blow for the rest of the campaign.
