West Ham are believed to be interested in signing Aston Villa youngster Mitchell Clark.
The promising defender is currently enjoying a loan spell in League Two with Port Vale and has established himself as one of the club’s key first-team players.
Clark has already featured 10 times for Port Vale in the league this term as he continues to build up his experience of senior football on a regular basis.

It’s claimed by the printed edition of the Daily Mirror, as per a report from HITC, that West Ham are among the clubs keeping tabs on Clark’s progress during his loan spell, with Newcastle United also interested.
Clark, naturally a left-back, is understood to be held in high regard by parent club Villa, indicating that a move away for the 19-year-old in the near future could be difficult for potential suitors.
West Ham appear to hold a firm interest in Clark, however, with the defender emerging as a promising player for the future.
