West Ham are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
According to claims from the Mirror, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has identified the experienced defender as a target as he looks to add further quality to his options at the back.
West Ham appear to have settled on a central defensive partnership this season, consisting of Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena, both of whom arrived at the London Stadium as new recruits in the summer.

The pair have performed admirably in recent weeks but Pellegrini is reported to be intent on adding further experience to the first-team squad, with Cahill the latest name to be linked.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has overlooked Cahill for much of the season so far, prompting the defender to seek a move away from Stamford Bridge as he looks to secure first-team football elsewhere.
Turkish giants Galatasaray have been heavily linked with the 32-year-old but it seems they will face competition from West Ham in the race for Cahill’s signature.
