West Ham reportedly make final contract offer to Rice

West Ham have reportedly made a final push to secure Declan Rice’s future at the club.

According to a report from the Telegraph, a lucrative new contract offer has been put on the table for the youngster as West Ham continue to grow frustrated by their failure to agree terms with Rice.

It’s claimed in the Telegraph’s report that the most recent offer that Rice received was worth £15,000 per week, with a £20,000 bonus related to individual Premier League starts. After 15 top-flight appearances, this bonus was also reportedly set to rise by a further £5,000.

However, the 19-year-old has reportedly refused to agree to these terms with the Hammers, as his entourage seek a higher base wage for their client.

Rice’s deal at the London Stadium comes to an end next year, meaning that he will be able to discuss a move away on a pre-contract agreement when the January transfer window opens.

This is an outcome that West Ham are evidently working hard to avoid, with the club growing impatient over the contractual saga.
