West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson is confident that the Hammers can beat Chelsea when the two sides meet at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon, according to a report on the Daily Star.
The £40m summer signing believes that the away victory over Everton could be a turning point in their season after ending a torrid run of four successive Premier League defeats.
London rivals Chelsea have started their campaign with a 100% win record but Anderson has no fear and knows that Manuel Pellegrini will prepare the players well enough to compete for the three points.
The pacey winger said:
We really needed this victory a lot, we suffered a bit but as it happened. In the games we lost we were united and we knew that victory would come.
When things go well, all the players participate in them and the win will give us more confidence.
We know that Chelsea will be very difficult and we will prepare the tactics to be able to beat them and then we’ll work all week to improve and get the three points.
Anderson is yet to score for West Ham but he has put in some impressive performances, especially against Arsenal and Everton.
He has linked well with Marko Arnautovic and his direct approach almost always puts defenders on the back foot and he’ll be looking to do exactly that on Sunday.
