Former Ukraine international Hennadiy Orbu has slammed the form of new West Ham recruit Andriy Yarmolenko.
The winger was signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £17.5 million but has since struggled to impress.
Yarmolenko has been utilised largely off the bench for West Ham, with Manuel Pellegrini opting to play Robert Snodgrass out on the right-hand side.
However, this has not prevented former Ukraine star Orbu from having his say on Yarmolenko’s start to life in the Premier League, as he proceeded to launch a scathing attack on the experienced winger.
Speaking to Express, as cited in a report from Tribal Football, the 48-year-old delivered his verdict on the signing.
He does not even manage to reach the level of West Ham and they are in last place. The Londoners are already sorry they paid Dortmund €20 million.
West Ham have endured a difficult start to the new Premier League season and are in desperate need of points, with the club currently rock bottom.
