Leicester City are reportedly set to offer €35 million for Getafe defender Djene Dakonam, with West Ham and Tottenham also keen on the player.
France Football, as cited on Get French Football claims that the Foxes are in talks with the La Liga defender about a deal.
The 26-year-old impressed in La Liga last season and has previously drawn links to Atletico Madrid.
A move for Djene could signal that Harry Maguire may well leave the club before the closing of the summer transfer window, with Manchester United interested in the English international.
After an impressive World Cup with England, interest is mounting in Maguire, but the Foxes are desperate to keep hold of him.
West Ham have already strengthened defensively during the summer transfer window.
Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena all joined the club to form something of a new-look squad under Manuel Pellegrini, while Lukasz Fabianski also joined from the recently-relegated Swansea City.
