West Ham have made an offer for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro, the player’s agent has confirmed.
The Hammers have been perennially linked with a move for the Italian international, who looks all but set to leave Juventus in the current transfer window.
Sturaro has been eyed by a number of Premier League clubs in the last two years but the player’s agent has confirmed specifically that West Ham and Leicester, along with four other unnamed clubs, have approached him with proposals.
Speaking exclusively to Juve News, Sturaro’s agent had this to say about his client’s future at the club:
In football, anything can happen, because there are plenty of offers. Not only from West Ham and Leicester but at least four other clubs are interested in my client, who doesn’t have a favourite destination. I’m now waiting on a decision from Juventus.
In reality, an imminent sale isn’t on the cards, even if there are several opportunities to evaluate on Juventus’ table.
Sturaro was utilised generally as a bit-part player under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus last term and it seems the midfielder will now go in search of first-team football on a regular basis this summer.
The ball appears to now be in Juventus’ court, with West Ham awaiting a decision from the club as they assess the future of Sturaro.
