West Ham have confirmed the arrival of Felipe Anderson from Lazio for a club-record fee.
As per the club’s official website, Anderson puts pen to paper on a four-year deal at the London Stadium, in a deal that is reportedly worth around £40 million.
Anderson has been heavily linked with a move to London throughout the summer transfer window, but the Hammers were bracing themselves for late interest from Chelsea.
There had been some suggestions that Maurizio Sarri could look to take the player to Stamford Bridge, but West Ham finally have their man.
West Ham and Lazio have been locked in negotiations over a fee for the player for several weeks.
The deal was delayed with Lazio raising their asking price, while the Hammers were also thought to be interested in his team-mate Jordan Lukaku.
Anderson joins what is a new-look West Ham squad under Manuel Pellegrini, with deals to sign both Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko being confirmed recently.
