The French U21 international came through the ranks at Toulouse, coming up via their youth set up to make his way into the first team. He’s played 85 times in the first team, but it looks like he’ll soon be making his way to the London Stadium.
Everton were reportedly interested in the 21-year-old but West Ham have managed to get a deal agreed, beating the Toffees to the signing.
Manuel Pellegrini has been keen to add some youth to an ageing West Ham defence and by signing Diop, he’ll be doing just that. The youngster will join the likes of Winston Reid, Declan Rice and Angelo Ogbonna in the Hammers’ squad.
