West Ham plot summer deal for Alassane Plea

West Ham are said to be keen on a summer deal for departing OGC Nice striker Alassane Plea.

According to claims from the French media, as cited in a report from Calciomercato, the Hammers have emerged as potential suitors for the Frenchman.

Plea, who enjoyed a good season for Nice, is widely expected to leave the club this summer and it seems he will not be short of offers.

It’s set to be a summer of upheaval at Nice, with Patrick Vieira recently being appointed as their new manager. Key players such as Plea, Mario Balotelli and Jean Michael Seri are all set for exits, and it seems Premier League clubs are looking to take advantage of the changes at the Ligue 1 outfit.

West Ham are looking to add further attacking quality to the ranks ahead of next season and it seems Plea has emerged as a target.

Manuel Pellegrini already has Javier Hernandez, Andy Carroll, Jordan Hugill and Marko Arnautovic available as striking options, but targets are seemingly being identified, with Plea among the names considered.
