David Moyes leaves West Ham

West Ham have announced that David Moyes will not be extending his stay with the club.

Moyes joined West Ham midway through the season and has led the Hammers to safety, despite unrest amongst the supporters over his performances as manager.

His contract with the club ran out on Sunday, and the club have now confirmed that he has left.

The search will now be on for his successor, with Manuel Pellegrini thought to be an early favourite for the job.

Marco Silva is currently a free agent having left Watford earlier this season, and could appeal to the West Ham board with his Premier League experience.

Moyes was un unpopular figure amongst the fanbase for the second half of the season and often found himself on the end of criticism after games.
