Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney says a January switch to West Ham was out of his hands after the move failed to materialise.
Whilst speaking to the Telegraph, Cairney discussed rumours of a £8 million move to the London Stadium in Jaunary.
I don’t know how close it was to happening. It was out of my hands. But last summer I signed a contract extension and that was me committing my future to Fulham. I live around here, I’m settled. I love it.

The midfielder had been heavily linked with a move away from Fulham in the search of Premier League football.
Both West Ham and Newcastle have been long-term admirers of the player, who is playing a key role in Fulham’s promotion bid.
Cairney is widely regarded as one of the standout performers in the Championship and will undoubtedly attract top-flight interest once again this summer if Fulham fail to achieve promotion.
The Cottagers currently sit third in the Championship and look set to feature in the play-offs for a place in the top flight.
