It has not been plain sailing for Andre Gomes since his move from Valencia to Barcelona back in 2016.
The Portugal international impressed many with some fantastic performances for both Valencia and his national side, but he has since flattered to deceive in a Barcelona shirt. Gomes is largely seen as a squad player by Ernesto Valverde and it seems the La Liga leaders are finally prepared to offload him.
According to a report from Spanish news outlet AS, via talkSPORT, Barcelona are willing to sell Gomes in the summer transfer window, which has put Premier League duo West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur on red alert.

Both sides were interested in completing a deal for Gomes last summer but their efforts proved to be of no avail. Things have not improved for the player at the Nou Camp, though, and an exit does still appear to be on the cards.
It’s stated that the Hammers made an enquiry for the 24-year-old in the January transfer window, but saw their attempts rebuffed. They instead secured Joao Mario on loan from Inter and the midfielder has impressed in a West Ham shirt.
Mario is understood to be keen on joining the Hammers on a permanent basis at the end of the season but if this falls through, it seems Gomes may well be an option for David Moyes.
