West Ham have to stick together says Cresswell

Everybody at West Ham has to stick together if the club wants to avoid relegation, according to defender Aaron Cresswell.

As reported by BT, the Hammers endured a frustrating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton on Saturday, which concluded a turbulent week for the club.

You win one and lose the next week, and you’re right back in it. We have got to keep looking forward to the next game, though, and try to get the points in that.

We need to stick together and pull in one direction now and go into every game and try to get maximum points. We need to keep pushing up.

David Moyes was unable to sign key players during the January transfer window and strengthen the areas he had hoped for.

The club also confirmed that they would terminate the contract of the head of recruitment Tony Henry for comments he made about the club’s transfer policy towards African players.

Glenn Murray gave the hosts the lead inside the opening 10 minutes before Javier Hernandez equalised for West Ham.

Jose Izquierdo put Brighton back in front with a spectacular effort before German midfielder Pascal Groß scored an equally impressive goal to extend their lead.

The defeat leaves the Hammers just three points off the bottom three, with the bottom half of the Premier League growing increasingly tight.
