Hammers to push through Dendoncker deal after Obiang injury

West Ham are hoping to push through a deal to sign Belgian star Leander Dendoncker following the injury to Pedro Obiang.

Het Nieuwsblad, as cited by Sport Witness, claim that West Ham boss David Moyes is in the market for the player after Obiang was stretchered off during the Hammers’ defeat to Wigan in the FA Cup.

Previous reports have suggested that both West Ham and Everton have been keeping a watchful eye on the player this season.

The Hammers have spent weeks scouting the player with both the board and scouts happy to push through a deal, but Moyes was said to have his reservations.

The player is said to be keen on a move to London after attracting some high-profile interest in the past.

Manchester United have long been linked with a move for Anderlecht star, who can play both in central midfielder or as a central defender.
