West Ham have joined the race to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison.
According to The Mirror, the Hammers are eyeing up a potential move for Maddison before the end of the month.
David Moyes is looking to strengthen his midfield options, with Maddison one of the names on his shortlist. Bournemouth’s Harry Arter and Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey and Stoke’s Joe Allen are also being considered by the Hammers.
Tottenham, Leicester, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been linked to Maddison in the last few weeks, although their interest is said to be geared toward a summer move.
However, West Ham are looking to strengthen over the next eight days although Norwich’s £20m price tag could be a stumbling block.
The attacking midfielder has eight goals and eight assists in all competitions this season, after breaking into the Norwich team under Daniel Farke.
The 21-year-old has won all four of Norwich’s player of the month awards so far this season so would be a major loss if he did move this month.
