West Ham boss David Moyes says the club cannot afford to sell striker Javier Hernandez this month.
The London Evening Standard reports that the Hammers boss believes that the current squad is already too small.
Well, Chicharito, there has been speculation about him but there has been speculation about Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho – there’s been speculation about every man and their dog here.
As far as I am concerned you can look at my bench today and say ‘if there’s one club that doesn’t need to lose any players it is West Ham’, because of the numbers – we’re so short.

Moyes is hoping to keep hold of the former Manchester United striker, despite talk of an imminent move to Besiktas.
Hernandez has been linked with an early exit from West Ham following Moyes’ arrival at the club.
The striker fell out of favour at Manchester United during Moyes’ time at Old Trafford and the Scot has preferred to use Marko Arnautovic as a lone striker since taking charge of the club.
Both Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini have recently been sidelined with injuries, leaving the Hammers short for options in the final third.
Carroll himself had also been linked with a move away from the club, while Diafra Sakho’s immediate future remains uncertain following rumours of a move to France.
