West Ham are facing competition from La Liga side Sevilla for Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario, according to Sky Sport Italia cited by Football Espana.
Inter paid €40 million to sign the Portuguese international in the summer of 2016 from Sporting CP, however, he has struggled to make an impact in Italy’s top division and is now open to a move away from the San Siro.
West Ham have been interested in the 25-year-old for a long time, however, now face competition from La Liga side Sevilla in a battle for the Euro 2016 winner.

Manager David Moyes is keen to add to his midfield during the current window and the Premier League side are reportedly offering a €1.5 million loan fee and are willing to pay all of Mario’s wages for the six-month loan.
Mario has made 14 appearances in Serie A so far this season, and Hammers fans will be hoping that the club can secure the players services before the deadline.
