Moyes not looking to sell Carroll
David Moyes admits he has no plans to sell Chelsea target, Andy Carroll this month.
As reported by Sky Sports, Moyes revealed both Carroll and Javier Hernandez are in his plans at the London Stadium.
I don’t want any of them to go. We have got no players here who we want to leave. We need to add to our squad. So, ideally, we strengthen. My intention is not to let anyone go.
Reports suggested that Premier League champions Chelsea were interested in a deal to sign Carroll as a back up to Alvaro Morata this January.
While it has also been reported that the Hammers will look to move on summer signing Hernandez this month, despite the player only joining from Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the season.
Marko Arnautovic has hit a strong run of form under Moyes, but he still has the likes of Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew to call upon, meaning game time is likely to be limited.
Moyes suggested that he could look to sell on some attackers to fund moves for more defensive-minded players to help balance out the squad, however that looks unlikely to be Carroll or Hernandez.
