Van Holsbeeck hints that Dendoncker deal can be reached

Talk of a potential West Ham move for Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker has gathered momentum in the last week or so and the Hammers have been handed a major boost in their pursuit.

Speaking to DH, Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck confirms that if Dendoncker were to leave the club, it would have to be for a lot of money following claims that West Ham are interested.

If you let go of your centrepiece, it must be for a lot of money and we must also be able to find someone to replace him, even for 6 months via a loan.

When asked whether or not a transfer could be agreed during the January window, Van Holsbeeck suggests if the right offer came in, then yes, a transfer could be arranged.

If there’s €25m or €30m on the table, it can be done, yes.

Despite his reputation, there seems to be little competition for the 22-year-old’s signature and West Ham, for the time being, have a free run at the Belgium international who has also been linked with Manchester United, and at €25m, he could be a bargain.
