Arsenal defensive midfielder and West Ham target Francis Coquelin has reportedly reached an agreement with Valencia, rejecting the Hammers in the process, according to RMC.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted during the week that it was a possibility the French midfielder would leave the Emirates this month, with the player now believed to be heading to La Liga instead of remaining in London with the Hammers.
The Gunners and Valencia are thought to be in positive discussions over the transfer fee, which according to RMC, will be wrapped up within the next 24 hours.
Coquelin, 26, played 89 minutes in Arsenal’s 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over David Moyes’ side, and Moyes was strongly keen on bringing the midfielder to the London Stadium this month.
Coquelin has been with the Gunner since 2011, enjoying loan spells with Freiburg and Charlton during that time, and has made over 100 league appearances for Wenger’s side.
