West Ham launch enquiry to sign Leander Dendoncker

Much of West Ham’s January transfer window will be spent trying to recruit a quality central midfielder and David Moyes has reportedly made a move to sign one of the best young talents in Belgian football.

According to DHnet, West Ham have made an enquiry to sign Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker this month to solve their defensive midfield problems.

The 22-year-old came through the ranks with Anderlecht and made his debut in the 2013/14 season before establishing himself as a first-team regular for the Pro League outfit.

Dendoncker has caught the eye for Anderlecht in the last 18 months or so, netting against Manchester United in the Europa League last season and has also been linked with a move to United along with Everton.

Under contract until 2021, the Belgium international is refusing to sign a new deal with Anderlecht as he hopes to complete a big money transfer in the summer but West Ham will make an attempt to get him on board in January.
