Arnautovic nominated for Player of the Month award

West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

As reported by Sky Sports, the Austrian will battle Harry Kane, Marcos Alonso, Roberto Firmino, Jesse Lingard, Riyad Mahrez, Nicolas Otamendi and Mohamed Salah for the award.

Arnautovic has risen to prominence at West Ham under David Moyes, scoring five goals throughout the month.

The summer signing has been used as a central striker by Moyes, who is bringing the best out of the player, who struggled for any real form under Slaven Bilic.

Arnautovic has also registered one assist and starred in performances against Bournemouth and his former side Stoke earlier in the month.

Prior to December, Arnautovic was yet to break his duck for the Hammers, but he has found his place in the squad under the new manager.

Arnauotvic has been key to West Ham’s recent run of form, the Hammers have lost just once in seven Premier League games.
