West Ham not interested in selling Reece Oxford

There has been a lot of talks about the future of Reece Oxford in the last week or so, but it appears as if the teenager’s long-term future does remain at West Ham.

The Daily Mail report that West Ham and David Moyes are eager to see the young defender in action in claret and blue before even thinking about selling him.

Reports from Germany in recent days have claimed that both Borussia Monchengladbach and Red Bull Leipzig are looking to sign him in January but West Ham have other ideas.

Oxford has impressed the Monchengladbach coaches during his loan spell with the Bundesliga club despite only making four appearances to date, and due to a clause in the loan contract, West Ham can recall him early.

West Ham have lacked bodies in midfield and defence and given Oxford’s capability to perform in both positions, he could be a smart recruit from Moyes in January and we’re all aware of the immense talent the England U20 international possesses.
