West Ham boss David Moyes looks set to make a number of signings in January and has targeted Stoke midfielder Joe Allen as his first, according to reports in the Mirror.
Allen, 27, joined Stoke from Liverpool in 2016 and has been highly thought of by many managers in the league for some time.
It is believed that Moyes is extremely drawn towards the midfielder over his versatility he could bring to the Hammers, and looks set to make an offer for the player when the window opens next week.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes has used Allen as a holding midfielder for most of his time with the Potters, however, has been used also as an advanced playmaker where he netted six league goals last season.
Allen has only missed three Premier League games since joining Stoke, and Moyes is hopeful of bringing the player to the London Stadium as he looks to avoid the drop with the Hammers.
