West Ham have been told to pay £25 million for Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson after having an initial £18 million bid rejected.
The Daily Mail claims that the Hammers have already been knocked back in the approach for the defender, who has impressed for Swansea this season.
It is believed that Swansea are hoping for at least £20 million up front with an extra £5 million included in potential add-ons.

It is believed that Swansea could consider a sale to give new boss Carlos Carvalhal the funds to act in the January transfer window.
The Welsh outfit will be desperate to pocket as much money from potential suitors as possible with 15% of any transfer fee set to go Mawson’s former side Barnsley.
It is believed that David Moyes is looking to spend big in January to shake up the first-team squad after a disappointing start to the season that has seen them flirt with the relegation zone.
