West Ham were denied a victory at Bournemouth today after a controversial late goal brought the Cherries level.
Referee Bobby Madley first ruled out Nathan Ake’s finish, which hit the offside Callum Wilson, before reversing the decision not long after.
West Ham originally took the lead in the seventh minute, after defender James Collins headed home. Bournemouth would fight back though, with Dan Gosling and Nathan Ake regaining the lead for the Cherries.
West Ham would keep fighting however, and their efforts would be rewarded in the 81st minute with Marco Arnautovic scored the equaliser. The Austrian thought he had then won the game for the Hammers only 8 minutes later, adding his second of the day.
Then Bournemouth equalised through Callum Wilson, that was wrongly allowed to stand by the referee.
West Ham remain just outside the bottom three after the draw, remaining one point ahead of Bournemouth.
Here’s how we rated the West Ham players after the 3-3 draw.
