Sam Allardyce rejected Hammers return

Sam Allardyce reportedly rejected the chance at a return to West Ham United following the departure of Slaven Bilic earlier in the month, football.london report.

The Hammers moved swiftly to fill the void at the London Stadium and appointed former Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland manager David Moyes, however, Kumb report that Moyes wasn’t the Hammers’ first option.

Former boss Allardyce was approached to take the job until the end of the season on ‘big money’, however, Allardyce was quick to turn down the request when asked.

He was offered big money to return. but he turned it down straight away.

Allardyce, now 63, enjoyed a successful spell at West Ham, guiding them back to the Premier League and established themselves as a top-flight team during his time.

Allardyce has since had roles at Sunderland and Crystal Palace, along with a short-lived time as England manager, and has recently been linked with getting back into the game, at managerless West Brom.
