West Ham interested in Reading defender Liam Moore

West Ham interested in Reading defender Liam Moore

West Ham are reportedly the latest top flight club to join the race for Reading defender Liam Moore.

It’s claimed by the Daily Mail that new Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bolster his defensive reinforcements in January, with Moore high up on his wish-list.

Moore has been in good form for Reading this season and his performances have caught the attention of many Premier League clubs, as well as Scottish champions Celtic.

The 24-year-old has developed massively since his move from Leicester City last year and is continuing to progress under the tutelage of Jaap Stam at Reading.

However, his consistently strong displays are not going unnoticed and it looks like the Royals may have to fend off a whole host of Premier League interest when the New Year comes around.

West Ham have something of an ageing back-line, particularly in central defence, and the addition of Moore would undoubtedly provide some fresh talent.

Stoke City and West Brom are also named by the Daily Mail as potential suitors for the centre-back.
