West Ham defender James Collins says all the players are behind manager Slaven Bilic.
Bilic is one a number of Premier League managers under pressure early in the new season.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Collins says the players want to give something back to the Croatian, who will be celebrating his 49th birthday on Monday when the Hammers face Huddersfield. Check out Footballticketpad.com to get yourself a ticket to an upcoming West Ham fixture.
Birthday or not everyone at the club would like to get the boss three points. He’s been under tremendous pressure. It’s crazy in football that the managers get put under so much pressure when sometimes really the players need to look at themselves. I feel like we owe the gaffer a performance and hopefully we can do that on Monday. All I can say is all the lads here at West Ham are completely behind the boss.
West Ham have struggled during the opening stages of the new Premier League campaign. The Hammers are yet to take a point this season, losing their opening three games.
The Hammers return to Premier League action on Monday after falling to a 3-0 defeat away to Newcastle before the international break.
Bilic will be hoping that the Hammers can kick their season off on Monday night against Huddersfield, but the Premier League new boys have won two of their opening three and will present an equally difficult test.
