West Ham interested in signing free agent Bacary Sagna

West Ham are one of the sides interested in signing free agent Bacary Sagna, according to reports.

Despite the transfer window being closed, Sagna is still allowed to join a Premier League side as he is currently without a club and West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion are all considering bringing him in.

West Ham still have three spaces available for players in their Premier League squad and the 34-year-old could be the man to fill one of those voids.

Sagna is reportedly willing to take take a smaller weekly salary than he’d originally been asking for in order to find a club and Slavan could see him as an ideal short-term signing as he looks to turn around what has been a poor start to the season.

Turkish sides Besiktas and Bursaspor, Italian side Torino and Portuguese clubs Benfica and Sporting Lisbon have also declared an interest in signing the former France international
