The Diafra Sakho transfer saga has just another twist – it’s almost had to keep up with developments.
Sakho has been in France today in a bid to secure a move from West Ham to Rennes and even passed a medical with the Ligue 1 club ahead of a potential £9m move.
However, the Hammers’ stance has now changed as they do not believe they have enough time to replace the striker and have blocked his attempts to leave the club, but that’s not swayed Crystal Palace from making their move.

The Eagles are believed to have submitted a £10m bid to sign the Senegalese striker before tomorrow’s deadline, but whether that’s enough to talk West Ham into a sale remains to be seen.
£10m is a reasonable fee for an out-of-favour striker who struggles with injuries and has just a year left on his contract, but replacing him will be tough. Expect this won’t be the last we hear of this deal.
