West Ham will turn their attention to Didier Ndong after growing increasingly frustrated in their attempts to land William Carvalho from Sporting Clube de Portugal.
The Independent claims that the Hammers will bid for the Sunderland midfielder if they fail to make a breakthrough in their talks with the Portuguese club.
Ndong wants to leave Sunderland before the end of the summer transfer window in the hope of securing a move to a top flight team.

The player is interested in a move to the Premier League or Ligue 1 but has been unable to find any potential suitors in France due to his high wage demands.
Leicester have shown an interest in the past but West Ham appear to be the front runners for the player’s signature.
West Ham were thought to be close to securing a deal worth around £30 million for Carvalho, but his club are now demanding closer to £36 million for the midfielder.
