Jack Wilshere wants to stay at the club and fight for his place, rather than leaving on loan with West Ham among several teams interested in signing him.
As reported by the Telegraph, Serie A side Sampdoria are among those keen to sign the player who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth in the search of regular first-team football.
The England international is hoping that he can get enough game time at Arsenal to help him push back into the national team before the World Cup in Russia next summer.

The 25-year-old returned to full training with the Gunners this week and is keen to leave a positive impression on manager Arsene Wenger before the season starts to convince him to keep him in the squad.
Wilshere’s contract at the Emirates expires next summer but feels that when he is fully fit he can challenge for a starting spot.
