West Ham have spent the last few days in Germany acclimatising to their new surroundings ahead of the next stage of their pre-season preparations: the Betway Cup.
Slaven Bilic’s side take on Werder Bremen over two legs on July 28th-29th and to get in the right shape for the fixtures, some of the first-team squad have been indulging themselves in some local cuisine.
In a video produced by the Betway Insider, Hammers stars Adrian, Joe Hart and Angelo Ogbonna were served up a number of German delicacies to try for the first time.

Being from the continent, Italian defender Ogbonna stepped up to the plate (quite literally in this sense) first to have a taste of the Knipp, a dish made from pork meat mashed up with some groats, and the centre-back was full of compliments for the meal.
Joe Hart must have thought this was some sort of initiation or hazing event as he seemingly drew the short straw with the Rollmops, which is described as cold fish served in a dish of vinegar. Not pleasant at all and Hart was not a fan of it.
Last was the Rindsrouladen, a simple beef-based dish and Adrian thoroughly enjoyed the meal which was quite clearly the safest of the three on paper.
The trio were rewarded with a nice Zitronen-Baiser, or a lemon cake to you and me, which went down with aplomb amongst the group.
Hopefully, they’ll all be on the same page again when the Hammers take on Werder Bremen.
