West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Raul Jimenez this summer but the Benfica striker isn’t remotely close to joining the club right now.
As the Hammers prepare to welcome his international teammate Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen, there is persistent talk that they want to follow it up with a swoop for Jimenez.
However, Portuguese source Record, as cited by Sport Witness, claim that the Hammers are not in advanced talks to sign the former Atletico Madrid forward, but Premier League rivals Everton are more serious contenders for his signature.

It has been claimed that the Toffees have made a €45m bid for him this summer, and now Benfica club president Luis Filipe Vieira has travelled to England, supposedly to hold talks to sell Jimenez.
Benfica are believed to be demanding €50 for Jimenez this summer despite the striker starting just nine Liga Nos games last season.
