West Ham have reportedly beaten off competition from newly promoted Newcastle United in the race to sign Osmanlispor midfielder Badou N’Diaye, according to a report by Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
They claim that the Osmanlispor director Ender Yurtguven ha confirmed the transfer on social media and expects the Senegalese midfielder to join up with his new teammates in the coming days.
N’Diaye, 26, has found the back of the net on 18 occasions in 77 appearances over the course of two seasons with the Turkish side and it is believed the Hammers will pay in the region of £8.5m for his services.
It’s been claimed in the Turkish media that Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have also shown a strong interest in the midfielder, with Rafa Benitez even attempting to hijack the deal at the last minute, however, Slaven Bilic’s side look set to have won the race for the player.
